The branded drug Provigil is essentially identical to Waklert (generic Nuvigil). This family of drugs has a somewhat complicated history which we’ll now explain. Modafinil was initially formulated by Lafon, a pharmaceutical firm in France, in the 70’s. It was designed to treat sleeping disorders. Just prior to Modafinil’s patent expiry, Lafon reformulated the drug as a cleaner, enantiopure variant by sequestering the right isomer. This improved version was named Armodafinil. Waklert is exactly a version of Armodafinil. Even at a lower dosage, Armodafinil has identical alertness and concentration effects as the original drug, plus the duration of its activity is extended. Generic versions were marketed in the USA by the firm Cephalon, first as Provigil and later as Nuvigil. When we put Waklert vs Provigil is is the same as when we put Nuvigil vs Provigil. All of the substances mentioned are identical. r.
Nuvigil’s Activity Examined
The precise function of eugorics like Nuvigil (the generic of Armodafinil) and Provigil (the generic of Modafinil) is only partially understood. Smart drugs, which term means “good arousal,” are agents which increase the activity of norepinephrine and dopamine receptors in the brain. They do this without elevating the levels of hormones which such sites receive. This mechanism, combined with a higher output of histamines within the central nervous system, reduces fatigues sensations within the brain.
The result for users is an encompassing experience of refreshed alertness and sharp concentration. Smart drugs are distinct from amphetamines in that they don’t cause a massive release of hormones which in turn leads to a hormonal deficit, then a crash in mood and function and finally an unpleasant withdrawal. For this reason, eugorics are far safer for daily usage and some varieties have zero effect on regular sleep patterns.
